Inside this wiki, you will find things about the great singer, known as the “King of Reggae”, Bob Marley. They are all pieces that connect with Marley and his purpose for singing and his impact on our world.
I chose Bob Marley, because I know his songs, and I would love to know more about him. The genres about Marley include song lyrics, a magazine cover, a concert poster, a timeline, and a narrative story. The timeline would include the most facts about Bob, and the song lyrics would give an example for his songs.
Doing this project has taught me much about Marley and his life, and I learned lots about Reggae itself and Jamaica. The most challenging part of the project was picking the right song for the song lyrics, because Marley has lots of songs, and I needed to pick one that showed his peace-making and I needed to pick a song where he sung about something that needed to change, or wasn’t fair in the world.
The part that I enjoyed the least was making the timeline, because it was hard to convert a table off the normal Pages Document to a Wikispaces document, yet I pulled through. The part I enjoyed the most was making my wiki look good and find some concert posters or magazine covers that included Bob, since I got to see many others. Next time, I’ll probably change the way I wrote my narrative, and make it more revolved around Marley. I’ll could also take away the narrative and add something that talked about Marley that included some good facts about him.
This research project has definitely been different than others in my past, since it is based on my computer, and I’m making a big wiki on Bob Marley. Yet, like every project I have on someone, it’s always a fun one, because I get to learn about the character more. But no doubt, I would love to do this again than writing it on a regular research paper.
